For the past ten years, we at the Outdoor Survival Research Group have been researching survival in the boreal forest. Our aim is to mitigate the hazards of injury or death while lost in this environment, and to aid in facilitating rescue.
The survival kits that we are testing and prototyping are designed to sustain unfortunate individuals for a period of 72 hours. We currently produce two different kits - the Vehicle Survival Kit and Workplace Lockdown / Grid Down / Emergency 72 H Kit. Our latest product is an Emergency Personal Tissue Packet.
Our research projects include tornado preparation, elements-proof storage containers, and emergency food and water supplies.
